Kindergarten Registration/Enrollment 2026-2027

We are so excited to welcome our incoming Kindergarteners to Mountain Point!

2026-2027 Kindergarten Orientation will be at the school in the gym on

Friday, January 30th from 1:30 PM - 2:30 PM.

There will be a presentation and then an open house of the classrooms with a chance for questions and answers with our staff.

ONLINE KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION/ENROLLMENT IS NOW OPEN for Jordan School District and the 2026-2027 school year. If your child will be five years old on or before September 1, 2026, please complete the Skyward New Student Online Enrollment as soon as possible. NEXT...THE FORM BELOW IS NOT YOUR REGISTRATION/ENROLLMENT. It is to determine your preference for full-day or half-day (AM or PM) sessions. Please fill out the Google Form (below) after you have completed the Online Registration/Enrollment through the District's website (above).

Please read below about the schedule placement process this year.

***NOTE*** There is not a deadline to register/enroll to our school, however, we will need to determine what we can offer and the deadline for half-day is March 1, 2026 so we can determine the following. The date you submit your Registration/Enrollment and Google Form does not determine your placement in sessions for the lottery. After the lottery is complete and classes are full, the waitlist will be made according to the date of submission from your Google Form. 
 
Please remember, we will do our best to accommodate the needs and requests of all families where we are able.

 
1. We will start by filling full day sessions for those who have selected this option.
2. We need to see how many families want half-day sessions.
3. If there are enough kids to fill one half-day session, we will offer an AM option.
4. If there are enough kids to fill two sessions, we will offer an AM and PM option. If there are more than 22 families that prefer AM or PM specifically, there will be a lottery.
5. If there are not enough families to fill one half-day session, families will still have the option to attend Kindergarten for a half-day (in the morning), in a full-day class. Pick up would be before lunch/recess at 11:40 AM.

 

Kindergarten Schedule Options

When you enroll with the District, you may choose between two schedules for Kindergarten. Please select your choice in Skyward.

1. Full-Day Kindergarten

  • Your child will go to school all day, like students in other grades.

  • They will learn all subjects using the Kindergarten State Core Standards.

2. Half-Day Kindergarten

  • Your child will go to school for part of the day (based on the designated half-day kindergarten hours).

  • They will focus on English language arts and math as required by R277-730.

  • You may not be able to switch to full-day later unless there is room.

  • There must be enough students signed up to have a half-day class.

  • The deadline to register for half-day is Sunday, March 1, 2026.

  • If not enough students sign up, your child will be placed in a full-day class with a half-day schedule (see description below).

Full-Day Class with a Half-Day Schedule

  • If your school does not offer a separate half-day class, your child may be placed in a full-day classroom, but attend only part of the day.

  • They will focus on English language arts and math as required by R277-730.

  • You may choose to switch to full-day if you want.

How to Sign Up

  • Go to the Planning and Enrollment (Kindergarten Registration) website HERE and fill out the New Student Online Enrollment form.

  • Use the drop-down menu to pick Full-Day or Half-Day Kindergarten.

  • Half-day classes will be available only if enough students enroll.

  • Remember: To get priority for half-day, register by Sunday, March 1, 2026.

Registration Information

  •  $40 non-refundable registration fee
  • Tuition will be $100 per month 
  • New students will need to provide:
    • Birth Certificate
    • Current Immunization Records or Exemption Form
    • Proof or address
    • Photo ID
