Mountain Point Elementary School is located in the rapidly growing city of Bluffdale, Utah, with approximately 900 students in grades Pre-K through 6. Our school operates on a traditional schedule and incorporates general education classes, a DLI (Dual-Language Immersion - Spanish) program, two SCSC Cluster Classrooms, two pre-school classes, and a BYU (Brigham Young University) Partnership with student-teachers, interns, and a University Facilitator.
Since Mountain Point opened it's doors in 2019, a thriving S.T.E.A.M (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) Program has engaged kids in hands-on, real-world learning. Our school also offers clubs and activities such as Choir, Robotics, Orchestra, and Student Leadership to name a few.
Our school's mission includes building a culture of community, belonging, and kindness, while focusing on academic learning goals through Essential Standards. Mountain Point provides personalized learning with differentiated instruction, to meet all students where they are at, fostering growth and resilience.
Our community of administrators, teachers, students, volunteers, and parents at Mountain Point care a great deal and strive for excellence, with a student-centered approach. Our goals are to empower all students to reach their potential, become lifelong learners, and be responsible citizens by providing a high-quality, research-based education in an environment that exemplifies discipline and character through effort and responsibility.
Mountain Point parents are highly involved and there is a collaborative spirit on behalf of the students. Volunteers frequently visit the school to provide instructional assistance, teacher support, and student supervision. Our PTA provides for many extracurricular activities - including field trips - for all students through fundraising efforts. Our School Community Council (SCC) regularly meets with the administration and faculty to make school-based decisions and approve annual spending plans.
We want you to feel welcome, we want to invite you to come by, call, email, ask questions...get involved. Strong community involvement, high-quality teaching, and student engagement are the keys to our success.
